When he got his start in the insurance industry in 1986, David began with a clear goal in mind: to give exceptional insurance advice. "I never wanted to be the biggest firm," he explains. "I've always just wanted to help people plan their lives."
For the past 30 years (and counting), he's done precisely that. And since then he has firmly established himself in the industry, becoming an Authorised Financial Advisor (AFA) and a member of Financial Advice New Zealand. He also meets regularly with industry peers to share ideas and develop professionally.
For David, insurance isn't about numbers or policies—it's about people. "The thing that I enjoy most about my role as an adviser? Meeting new people, learning about their families and businesses, and helping them plan for their future."
Outside of work, David loves spending time with his two adult children and his wife of 40 years, Jocelyn, who runs her own legal practice. He's also heavily involved in the Cambridge community, as chair of the Cambridge Community Charitable Trust, former chair of Hautapu School BOT and an honorary member of Rotary Cambridge.
